FastFiler is so called Drag-and-Drop Utility. Simply drag any number of files (not in folders) onto FastFiler’s icon and release the mouse button. I tried it with up to 100 files and if you need to handle more ones increase FastFiler’s memory in Finder Info.
During FastFiler’s startup you can hold keys L, T or N with or without shift key.
By holding one of these keys or clicking a button in the dialog box which appears if don’t hold a key you specify what to do with the files.
The key ‘L’ stands for locking the file, shift-L is for unlocking.
The key ‘T’ stands for change of file type and creator. You choose the new one in the dialog box where you can also use “wildcard” ‘*’.
And finally the keys ‘N’ and shift-N are for locking and unlocking the names of files. If file’s name is locked, you cannot rename it and change its icon in the Finder.
To tell the Finder that you have locked a name you must restart the computer or remount the volume.
